During her PhD project at the department of human genetics and otorhinolaryngology she focused on unravelling the pathological mechanisms underlying Usher syndrome, and to developing a pre-clinical therapeutic strategy for USH2A-associated retinitis pigmentosa using the zebrafish (Danio Rerio) as a model organism. In March 2018, she joined the Osmoregulation group of the Department of Physiology as a Post-doc. She will focus on the understanding and treatment of paragangliomas and pheochromocytoma using the zebrafish as a model organism.
